St Louis CITY2 (2-0-0) ran away with an impressive victory in their last match at home against Tacoma Defiance. This Saturday, April 16, they travel to Lawrence, Kansas to take on Sporting KC II at Rock Chalk Park at 7:00 p.m. CT. The team will be looking to continue their blistering start to the season in what should be a tough matchup against Sporting KC II (1-1-1), who are currently fifth in the Western Conference standings.

Last time out, CITY2 were in fine form on the offensive end, netting four goals within the first 70 minutes of play. More impressively, CITY2 dominated the match from the get-go, and while they conceded the first goal, they proved why their counter-pressing is a catalyst for their eye-catching offensive. Though the team controlled most of the game, they gave up two goals late in the match, which set up an intense finish and had fans on the edge of their seats.

Against Tacoma Defiance, STL CITY2 had four different players (Akil Watts, Célio Pompeu, AJ Palazzolo and Max Schneider) on the scoresheet, making it a total of six different scorers so far in MLS NEXT Pro action. The team has had various players step up and will be looking to continue that trend against a Sporting KC II team that will be eager to get a win after losing last weekend against Houston Dynamo 2.
