Career Summary

Parker, an MLS veteran, has been a constant defensive presence in the league with stints at Vancouver, New York Red Bulls and Houston Dynamo. Parker started in 14 of his 15 appearances as a rookie for the Vancouver Whitecaps in 2015. The New York native helped Vancouver to the postseason in his first campaign. He finished the season with the second-most minutes amongst field players with 2,551 and recorded 28 starts in 29 appearances.   

At Houston Dynamo, Parker was named captain in 2021 and started 60 of the 62 matches he appeared in the last two seasons. Parker helped anchor Dynamo’s backline to nine clean sheets in the regular season during his Houston tenure. Prior to Houston, Parker spent three seasons with New York, including a 2018 season that featured a Supporters’ Shield win and a Concacaf Champions League semifinal appearance.  

Parker played 38 of the possible 44 matches in 2018 and helped the Red Bulls to 17 clean sheets, contributing two goals and two assists across all competitions. In three seasons as a Red Bull, Parker played 95 matches across all competitions. Offensively, he tallied three goals and three assists, two of which came in MLS Cup Playoffs play. 

Internationally, the defender has earned two caps with the U.S. Men’s National Team. Parker made his debut with the USMNT against Ireland on June 2, 2018, and he started in the following game against France on June 9. He has also represented the U.S. at the U-23 and U-18 level, competing in the playoffs to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
